Based in Grand Rapids, Normal Mode is a dynamic group exploring their distinctive style of lo-fi space travel music. Consisting of Dutcher Snedeker (piano and keyboards), Ian Thompson (upright and electric bass), and Nathan Coles (drums) they showcase an impressive versatility in their musical exploration. The band held two residencies at Midtown in Grand Rapids, featuring special guest musicians and visual artists. Their performance at the Roger B. In recognition of their musical prowess, Normal Mode received accolades in 2022 for their debut album "Downlink," earning nominations for Best Jazz Album & Song of the Year at the jammies XXIII.
